AgriSETA invites all AgriSETA levy paying employers, Commodity Organizations, NGO’s, CBO’s, Community Based
Cooperatives and small BEE firms to forward applications for Skills Programmes 18.1 & 18.2, AET,
Graduate Placement, Commodity Organizations and Support to Rural Structures.

LIMIT APPLICATIONS TO ABSOLUTE SCARCE AND CRITICAL SKILLS AS PER NSDS III
A VALID SARS TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE SHOULD ACCOMPANY CONTRACTS DURING SUBMMISSION OF DOCUMENTS. NO CONTRACT SHALL BE ACCEPTED/CAPTURED IN THE AgriSETA SYSTEM UNLESS A VALID TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE IS PROVIDED.

are encouraged to use an improved On-line application system as it encourage paperless environment.

FUNDING CATEGORIES & RATES

18.1 & 18.2
The value of the Grant per learner for:
o Employed and Unemployed learners R192.00
o Applications should not exceed a
maximum of 24 credits and 25 learners.
o There is no allowance on Skills
ADULT EDUCATION AND TRAINING (AET)
o The value of the grant per
learner for both Numeracy and Literacy is R4 500.00.
o UMALUSI accredited Service Providers shall conduct placement
assessment THROUGH IEB.
o The value of the grant is R47 700.00 (maximum of 12 months) for
unemployed learners who have completed their studies in a defined scarce skills
in the agricultural sector and who needs exposure to improve their employement
SUPPORT TO RURAL STRUCTURES
There is no separate application form for Support to Rural
Structures (Mentorship and Non Credit
Bearing Programmes). Stakeholders should submit proposals to AgriSETA outlining
the details of the projct e.g. what will be achieved and how it will be done,
how many Co-operatives will be supported and how many learners will benefit as
well as cost breakdown. Due to high volume of applicationsreceived in the past,
special projct application are limited to R400 000.00
o Commodity Organisations sving
the agricultural sector are invited to submit applications. There is no
specific form for Commodity Organisations.
o The training interventions
applied for, may include funding categories aleady mentioned in which instance
the apllicable grant values will apply.
o The total value of applications
per organisation should preferably not exceed R500 000.00.
o Organisations with previous
projects that have not started, should
o Applications is viewed as coming
from the employer NOT necessarly
from the Service Provider.
o Tax Clearance Certificate and the Tax Compliance
o Application forms are available

and obtainable by clicking on the Learning
o Past experience has shown that the total value of applications each year, exceeds the available
discretionary funds by far. Stakeholders are therefore encouraged to focus on
actual needs when preparing applications. AgriSETA reserves the right to lower
the limit depending on the availability of funds.
o All discretionary grants are VAT zero rated.
o Applications should reach AgriSETA not later than Thursday
31 January 2019, 16h30 and online application not later 24h00 midnight. No late
applications will be considered
