Stakeholders plea to have an application window period to accommodate students interested in registering to institutions of higher learning in January every year as well as responding to the new National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) requirements, the AgriSETA took a decision to have two APPLICATION WINDOW PERIODS, namely for BURSARY, INTERNSHIPS AND ARTISAN DEVELOPMENT, LEARNERSHIPS AND NEW VENTURE CREATION
The application window period will in future open on 1 September and close on 31 October of each year.
A programme for learners that require tuition (full-time or part-time) at a College, University of Technology or University for a certain period of time in order to achieve a formal qualification e.g. a Certificate, Diploma or Degree.

A programme for unemployed learners who have preferably concluded their studies successfully in a defined scarce and/or critical skill in the Agri Sector and who then need workplace exposure in order to improve their employment opportunities.

NEW VENTURE CREATION (NVC)
The application window period for the below mentioned learning programmes, will in future open on 1 November and close on 31 January of each year.
Graduate Placement replaces 'Workplace Experience'. Graduate Placement refers to learners who have already obtained a qualification but require workplace practical experience for a period of a year.
A programme for learners who require work experience in order to complete a qualification that requires the learner to have a certain amount of work experience in order to achieve the qualification and/or professional registration.

LAND REFORM AND MENTORING
Functional Land Reform Projects (Restitution and Redistribution) can access support in terms of Mentorships, Governance non-aligned Skills Programmes, and furthermore learnerships offered by the SETA.
NB: Note should be taken that all requests for non-aligned Governance Skills Programmes and Mentorship should be through a proposal to the SETA.
